Charity Food Donations are received
the first two sundays of each quarter at First Lutheran Church.
The non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items are
collected in the Welcome Center and given to local ministries
such as NEST, Ghent Area Ministries, and the International
Seaman’s House.
Collection Dates: January 2 and 9, April 13 and
10, and July 3 and 10.

community and global concerns with outreach activities. These
include book bag assembly, health kit assembly, quilts for
Lutheran World Relief, and ditty bags and their contents for
the Seaman's House.

each year.

Mobile Meals is a program which
provides a hot lunch and a cold supper and daily fellowship
to aging Norfolk senior citizens who live independently. Recipients
pay $24 per month for this 5 day a week service.
